IELTS Preparation Course – In-school
Study an IELTS course in our conveniently located Silom language school. Located in CP Tower, only steps from Saladaeng BTS station and only a short walk from Silom MRT station, we are ideally situated in the center of the central business district. With an in-school IELTS practice course you can improve your IELTS skills face to face with an Insight IELTS Expert. Study all sections of the IELTS exam or choose the specific sections you need to improve the most. Throughout your IELTS course, ask any questions you may have and get the answers you need, explained in a simple way to improve your IELTS scores significantly.

Paper Based IELTS Preparation Courses
Study an IELTS practice course at Insight to ensure you are ready for your IELTS on Paper exam. An IELTS Expert Instructor will give you the skills you need to accurately complete question papers and answer sheets for the Reading, Listening and Writing tests. Throughout the IELTS course, students will write their answers in either pen or HB-pencils to simulate the IELTS test experience. As the Speaking test is carried out face-to-face, an IELTS preparation course with Insight, either face-to-face or Online Live will equip you with the tools needed to gain the score you need.
Computer Based IELTS Preparation Courses
Study an IELTS practice course at Insight to ensure you are ready for your IELTS on Computer exam. Use your computer in our interactive classes to simulate the test environment of IELTS on Computer exams. Are you hoping to study at Degree level or higher in an English-speaking environment or study for a professional registration purpose, an Academic IELTS course with Insight is perfect for you to achieve the score you need. Listening (all question types)
The Listening Test has 4 sections. Each section contains 10 questions. The test lasts about 30 minutes, you then have an extra 10 minutes to write your answers on an answer sheet.
To improve your listening score come to Insight for IELTS practice to hear different native speaker accents, learn the tips and tricks to get a high score and be able to answer the questions after listening to the recording only once.
Reading (all question types)
There are 3 sections in the Reading Test. Each section has 13 or 14 questions, 40 questions in total. The test lasts 60 minutes and you must write your answers on an answer sheet. Texts in the Academic Reading section may include diagrams, graphs or illustrations. All texts are taken from books, journals, magazines and newspapers.

Writing (all question types)
There are 2 parts to the Writing Test, and you have a total of 60 minutes to complete them.
You should spend 20 minutes on IELTS Writing Task 1. You must write 150 words or more. You will have to describe a graph, chart, table, diagram or map.
In IELTS Writing Task 2, you have to write 250 words. You should spend 40 minutes on this task. Writing Task 2 is worth more marks than Task 1, so you need to do it well. You have to write an essay discussing a topic.

Similar to Academic IELTS, the Listening Test has 4 sections. Each section contains 10 questions. The test lasts about 30 minutes, you then have an extra 10 minutes to write your answers on an answer sheet.

IELTS Life Skills Explained
Do you plan to submit a visa or immigration application and need to prove your English language speaking and listening skills are at the required level, an IELTS Life Skills course with Insight is perfect to ensure you pass the required test for your application. IELTS Life Skills preparation is available in-school or take an IELTS course online with our native IELTS Experts.
IELTS Life Skills is available at three levels:
- IELTS Life Skills – A1 Speaking and Listening
- IELTS Life Skills – A2 Speaking and Listening (offered in the UK only)*
- IELTS Life Skills – B1 Speaking and Listening
IELTS Life Skills is a face-to-face Speaking and Listening test. You will take your test with an examiner, and with one other candidate. An IELTS practice course in our Bangkok language school or an IELTS preparation Online Live course is the perfect way to achieve your goals.
At IELTS Life Skills A1 Level you have to listen and respond to spoken language, including simple narratives, statements, questions and single-step instructions. You may have to talk about basic information, feelings and opinions on familiar topics. Candidates talk with another person in a familiar situation about familiar topics.
At IELTS Life Skills B1 Level you have to listen and respond to spoken language, including straightforward information and narratives, and follow straightforward explanations and instructions. You may have to communicate information, feelings and opinions on familiar topics, using appropriate formality. Candidates talk with one or more people in a familiar situation, making relevant points and responding to what others say to reach a shared understanding about familiar topics.
Frequently Asked Questions
The IELTS exam is currently available through British Council and IDP in Thailand. You can currently take the exam in the following provinces; Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Hat Yai, Khon Kaen, Phitsanulok and Phuket.
IELTS is scored on a scale of 0-9, with 0 being the lowest and 9 being the highest. You may also get half scores, for example 6.5.
The score you need depends on the purpose of the test you are taking. You should enquire with the school or university you wish to attend or the Immigration rules of the country you wish to move to, as to which score you need to achieve.
If you have taken an IELTS on Paper test, your results will be available 13 days after you complete the test.
If you have taken an IELTS on Computer test, your results will be available in three to five days after your test.
If you have taken IELTS for Life Skills, results are available within 7 days after the test.
You will receive one hard-copy of your results, or two copies if you are applying to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
Your results will also be available to view online for 28 days.
